“when someone's been gone a long time, at first you save up all the things you want to tell them. you try to keep track of everything in your head. but it's like trying to hold on to a fistful of sand: all the little bits slip out of your hands, and then you're just clutching air and grit.“
🎶You deserve the best in life
So if the time isn't right then move on
Second best is never enough
You'll do much better, baby, on your own🎶
These lyrics reminded me of Lara Jean-she fishes for love but might be in love with love

Such a cute read! I'm not one read romance, but I couldn't help myself with this one. I had watched the Netflix movie and absolutely loved it so I had to read the books of course. I completely fell in love with the book. I literally had such a hard time putting this book down. I cant wait to read the next one.
I read this for my YA class for my masters degree. I thought it was really cute. I loved Laura Jean‘s relationship with her sisters and with Peter. I‘m hoping to be able to read the sequels soon. 📚❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2.5-3 Stars
The main story was interesting (taken place mostly in the 1960‘s), but it was drawn out with these other little things that weren‘t essential. Then near the end of the book we meet Ellie in present day (2003). I see her as being valuable, but her own storyline was not. I could have easily skipped over her story.
