“Their son is gone. Deep down, they think they're to blame...”

I may or may not have stayed up until 2:00 am to finish this bad boy right here.. Bryan Gruley‘s journalist background was SCREAMING through the pages. There is a sharpness to this story that is very refreshing! I adored the representation of the autistic character. Review continues in comments.

BookBumming Danny Peters, it wasn‘t what I was expecting based on other autistic representations I‘ve seen in literature.. but I actually mean that in a very positive way. “I am not autism.” — Danny Peters 6y

This one was good. I liked it, but didn't love it. Well written with and plotted, just too unbelievable and I didn't 'connect' with any of the characters, which meant I didn't care much about what happened to them so the stakes never seemed very high to me, but I did enjoy reading it.
