On This Day: The History of the World in 366 Days | Bounty
1 post
A newly updated and revised edition of On This Day, together with entries referencing over 2000 years of history, you can pick a day, week or month and find out what actually happened and who said what, and where, on each day of the year. From the rise of the vote for women in the UK, to Cooke's discovery of Hawaii, each entry is presented in a news-style headline, quote or longer article, so you can truly unravel the key events to have happened on that day and in a broad range of topics - in politics, sport, the arts, economics and science, to name a small selection of the subjects covered.Including births and deaths of major figures in society, and an assortment of black and white images to correspond with certain articles, this will be your history of the world, in 366 days.

Walked through a bookshop at lunch and opened this book at random....... hmmm do they mean the First Fleet under Arthur Phillips(Cook and the Endeavour was here 17 years earlier) ? Makes me wonder what the history is like in the rest of the book 😨

CarolynM Whoever does the fact checking at that publishing house should be out of a job. That's really bad. 5y
