I‘m thrilled to be hosting your August #camplitsy24 books!

First, we‘ll be heading off to Ireland to read about 4 gifted sisters in The Alternatives, then heading to the Pacific Northwest to read Bear, which was our second most voted for book, after James.

We‘ll confirm all of the dates for each book shortly.

I am amazed at all of the nominations for #camplitsy this year. This was a really tough decision, and there are so many more I‘m just as interested in reading. But after spending an enjoyable afternoon reading as many blurbs as I could, I wound up voting for these 6. I wonder if any of them will wind up on our camp roster. We‘ll see!

ICYMI Camp Litsy is back! You still have until Sunday to nominate up to four books for #CampLitsy24. The books need to be published in 2024 but before mid-June.

In June, July, and August, we will read two books a month with discussion led by Me, @squirrelbrain or @BarbaraBB each Saturday. After we publish the longlist of nominees, we‘ll have voting by Google Doc to come up with the six books for Camp. Lmk if you‘d like to be tagged in posts!

Your camp hosts thought you‘d like to see the next 6 books for #camplitsy23 - those that nearly made it but didn‘t!

It was very close with the winners changing with almost every vote. Questions and August Blue were very close, only missing out by a single vote each. The remaining 4 books received a few votes less, but all were on the same score.

Everyone‘s still forming themselves and their own opinions, separating their individuality out from how they were raised. Maybe (hopefully) she‘s changed her stance. At the very least, it seems like it‘d be challenging to write & widely publish so much steamy sex before marriage while pursuing an evangelical Christian ideology. 12mo

ICYMI! We are pleased to announce #CampLitsy23! We‘re opening nominations for the longlist. We invite folks to suggest 6 books for campers to read this summer. Post your choices on Litsy with #CampLitsy23 and tag me, @BarbaraBB and @squirrelbrain . The nominated books need to be published in 2023 and by 15 June, so campers can procure the final choices.

Nominations are open until 25 April. Then we will publish the longlist for voting. Details ⬇️

Megabooks Camp Litsy is a summer event where Littens nominate books written in 2023, then we create a longlist, and you vote on which books to read. We read two books each month in June, July, and August. Every weekend one of the counselors will post discussion questions about that week‘s book. Campers choose their favorite book each month, and the monthly winners will face off to find the Camp Litsy favorite! Join us for individual books or all six. 12mo

Here‘s my six nominations for #CampLitsy23 . I feel like probably everyone has already read Age of Vice and Big Swiss, but I haven‘t and feel the FOMO! 😆 Catherine Lacy is intriguing. The Survivalists, Ada‘s Room and City of Blows seemed interesting and I‘ve not seen posts on Litsy about them.
