Okay Littens, I need your help! Possible trip to Ireland next year, specifically to Cork and the surrounding area, and I need a guidebook. Usually I trust Rick Steves but Cork doesn‘t exist in his books (WTF, Rick?), and experienced overload yesterday at the bookstore. I don‘t have enough time to sit and compare all dozen books, so, hit me with your best shot!

Also appreciate any suggestions for stuff to do, especially kid-friendly.

RavenLovelyReads We took our kiddos when we went to Ireland- we often ate at “pubs” and had a pint at some..believe it or not- most are kid friendly! 6y

Cathythoughts Oh gosh ... off the top of my head , Blarney Castle , Spike Island , Cobh, Kinsale .... west Cork is beautiful.... Clonakilty, Baltimore.... so many places ... don‘t know a guide book, but all is online these days. Lovely little bookshops in all the towns around. And lovely beaches. Thanks for the tag @jhod ♥️👍🏻 6y
rabbitprincess Seconding Blarney and Cobh! When we went, we hired a cab driver to take us to those places from Cork. We also went to Pat Shortt's pub, which had great food and Murphy's Irish Stout, which is my favourite beer 😍🍺 6y

Planning my first trip to Ireland. Reading list includes Tana French, Sebastian Barry, and How the Irish Saved Civilization. Any other recommendations?
