The third instalment of the lorien legacies, titled the rise of nine, is a adventurous follow up to the first two books. It adds a whole new play on the series in that being no longer set in a small town, rather all over the world, adding all new sorts of characters and memorable moments

7/10 👏

This has to be my favorite book so far in this series! There was action around every turn, adventure, parts that made your heart hurt, others that made your heart beat faster & times you had to laugh at the humor of the characters. I loved how so many of the characters have finally come together and now it‘s like game on! I can‘t wait to meet the final Lorien guards and see if they can defeat the Mogs!

I loved meeting the other Loriens, but this installment drug a bit for me as I waited impatiently for them all to connect and get together. There was lots of action on both sides of the globe, and lots of shifting character POV‘s. I might have enjoyed it a bit more if they‘d concentrated more on one group at a time, instead of changing every chapter or more.

andreadmw Agreed. Love the series but sometimes I get confused they shift around so much. 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @andreadmw Yes, by the end they were shifting POV so much I had to stop a few times to try and figure out who was seeing/doing whatever by eliminating the others as they were mentioned.. the one not mentioned is the one speaking at the moment. So much could have been solved if they‘d just put a name before each section when they shifted POV 7y

This took me longer to finish than I wanted--my weekend allowed for little reading time. Another solid book, annoying teenagerness aside. Onto the next!

Number Four is kind of an idiot--being all hot headed and dumb. You aren't even feeling 100% but you're gonna go rush off and fight a mega powerful enemy alien guy? Ya ok. Moron.

Another reread--I'm pretty sure the last one I read was the fall of five--so hopefully I'll be able to finish this and he next one by the end of the weekend.
