As you can tell by the cover I‘ve read this book many times! It holds an almost eerie feeling every time I pick it up. The creature it creates in its pages makes you wonder why you read it! The draw as a teenage kid experiencing love and a pull toward death! Looking back reading as an adult I feel like I‘m protecting the main character like a mother reading a daughters tragic diary. It is a good read but more for a mature audience!

It‘s been a while but I just randomly start thinking about this book again. It is poorly written and revolves around vampire love in a mundane traditional sense. Yet, it is wonderful as it takes some radical turns and makes little to no sense at times. It is quite possibly one of the most messed up and perplexing books I have ever read (mostly in that it is unexpected) but is also one of the best, worst, and most memorable.

I liked the idea of this book. I liked the story but I didn't like the style of the author's writing.
