This is the only book I own that really fits this theme as the whole cover is made up of blues. It‘s hard to tell in the image but believe me it‘s very blue haha. This was also a cover buy because goodness knows I might be slightly inlove with that man on the cover, I am such a sucker for strong mysterious looking men. Hopefully it‘s good when I dive into it.

So how often do any of you have impulse buys based on the covers of books? I have a really bad habit of this. That‘s what this book was for me today. I am a sucker for a good strong, mysterious looking man on fantasy books, they have always been my weakness, Haha. The good thing is the story does sound interesting but even if it isn‘t at least the cover is attractive.

I didn't expect to love this book so much but it managed to fit a lot of of awesomeness in such a short book for the Fantasy genre and I am impressed and intrigued enough to binge read this series which had been sitting on my iPad for quite some time.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Interesting but slow to build, the action all happened in the last 3-4 chapters and the rest was a very long plot filler...a lot of time is taken up with careful character development. I don't feel like I read a whole story, I feel like I read a prequel to a much larger series - the action was quick when it happened and very good if only slightly predictable.

This is certainly interesting, the world building is slower than I expected but makes sense so far. It feels like the meat of the story is going to be the characters themselves rather than the action of the quest as a whole which can be unique in fantasy. We tend to like things to be happening at an amazing pace and this is a slow build.
