I made the trip over to the far railway station this morning so I could visit Chenonceau, which was lovely! I spent a good hour tromping around the grounds before I even went into the chateau, and I had a lunch & book break in a whimsical garden dedicated to landscape architect Russell Page, with sculptures by François Xavier Lalanne.

I finished DREAMHEARTH when I got home, and it was another lovely read from Hogarth. Such great characters.

I haven‘t read much since I last posted because I did make it to Villandry along the Loire à Vélo! It was an amazing day. The path itself is beautiful and these gardens were absolutely worth the trip.

This was also my longest bike ride ever—more than 50km! It was my first ride of 2025, too, so we‘ll see if I can move tomorrow.

Now I‘m gonna chill with my book. I‘m excited to dive back in.

wanderinglynn 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 that‘s an amazing bike ride! And it looks like you saw some beautiful gardens. 2d

I‘m up earlyearlyearly to see if I can rent a bike and explore the Loire à Vélo, but first: coffee and book. I read the first third of DREAMHEARTH while I waited for the rain to back off yesterday, and I‘m excited to read at least a third more today. If the bike rental isn‘t possible, or if there are lots of scenic lookouts to stop at, maybe I‘ll even finish it.
