I had been hearing a lot about Edward Lee in various horror groups. The book was a fun read but it didn't quite live up to the hype I was expecting. There were some very convenient events happenings that felt borderline lazy writing, as well as repetitive-to-the-point-of-disinterest that had me wanting the book to just end. I do know there are other Lee books that have been highly praised so perhaps this was an exception rather than the norm.
