Dragon Lords: Fool's Gold
Dragon Lords: Fool's Gold | Jon Hollins
11 posts | 5 read | 15 to read
"Guardians of the Galaxy" meets "The" "Hobbit" in this rollicking fantasy adventure. It's not easy to live in a world ruled by dragons. The taxes are high and their control is complete. But for one group of bold misfits, it's time to band together and steal back some of that wealth. No one said they were smart.

Pickpick

I really liked this book.
Didn't know what to think at first, but once it gets going it's a really good narrative.
"The Hobbit crossed with Oceans Eleven" it states on the back.
I can't say if that is true as I've never seen Oceans Eleven, but the book is well paced and a fun read.
Definitely not for kids though XD

I expected humor fantasy and really got some maybe slightly crude-ish humor with a fast paced dragon story. Take it or leave it but if you don‘t like swearing etc this book maybe isn‘t for you.

I didn't get a lot of reading done with month between Rogue One and the holidays. I enjoyed both if these, though. And I read another 250 pages in my current book.

This one was a really fun, humorous take on an epic fantasy heist novel. The characters were pretty great and the author did a good job of making me feel attached to them. Also, dragons! I gave it a so-so because it dragged a bit at the end. I enjoyed it enough to pick up the second book when it comes out, though.

This one is turning out to be really fun. Playing with fantasy tropes. Sarcastic. Madcap adventuring.

Branwen That chapter title is FANTASTIC! 7y

#currentlyreading on my day off of work. I prefer to just read one book at a time, sometimes with some short stories thrown in. #photoadaynov16

Reading for review purposes. Setting itself up as a heist story--we'll see how it plays out. You'll be able to tell when I'm finished by the crowd of dragon onlookers.
