Trying to get in as much of this book as possible before I have to go to work today! Oh my goodness, I'm absolutely loving it so far! 🥰💕📚

New books! New books! New books! Happy Pub Day to these beauties! Of course, I am EXCEPTIONALLY excited for the new Emily Henry book! From what I've read, the main character is a librarian! 🥰💕📚
My April Owlcrate book arrived! 😍 This cover is EVERYTHING! 💕📚 #owlcrate
Rumpel is such a good little helper! 😻 I'm training her to help me sort books! But of course she's more interested in getting a treat afterwards! 🤭💕📚 #catsoflitsy #littenkitten #rumpel
Yes! This is exactly what every fantasy book that is part of a series should have in the beginning! Now I don't have to worry about going back and rereading the first book again! Who else wishes more fantasy books had this? 🥰📚💕
After a few days of non-stop rain it was finally sunny and beautiful yesterday! I took advantage of the beautiful weather to read outside at the park for a bit. Everything is starting to bloom and blossom! ☀️🌿📖
Happy Friday, littens! 💕📚
I just adore Mary Oliver's poems! Her writing is so beautiful!
The second book store I visited yesterday was Pages, which is also in Detroit! It is a small store, but what they lack in size they make up for in content! They had so many fantastic books and also lots of bookish goodies! Shirts, tote bags, mugs, tea, bookmarks, pins, and socks! 🤭 And the best part of all is that there is a bookstore cat that lives there! Her name is Pip and she's so sweet! 😻
I went on a little bookstore adventure yesterday! My first stop was John King Books, in Detroit, which is the hugest used bookstore I have ever been to! 😱 It was absolutely fantastic! 💕📚 Have any other Mitten Littens visited this store before?
My Book of the Month box arrived! 🥳🎉🎉🎉 I'm not sure which one to start first! #botm
Happy Leigh Bardugo Day to all who celebrate! 🤭💕📚 My copy just arrived in the mail and I can't wait to start it tonight!
This newest addition of Mrs Dalloway that I have gotten might just be my favorite one yet! 🥰📚💕
One other bookstore I visited this week in Columbus has been Prologue Books! They're definitely a much smaller store than The Book Loft, but what they lack in size they make up for in selection! I found a couple books I had never even heard of before that looked absolutely amazing! Plus they had so many great t-shirts, tote bags, and other bookish goodies! 🥰💕📚
The best part of getting to meet this author, was that we also received an advanced readers copy of her new book coming out soon! 😱 It looks amazing! 💚💚💚
Eeeeek! 🥰💕📚 My bookish heart is bursting with joy!
I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Rainbow Rowell at PLA this week! 🥰 She gave a talk and then signed books, and she was absolutely amazing! Very kind and down to earth, and absolutely hilarious! Now I know how she writes such funny dialogue in all her books! 🤭💕📚
I think....I may have reached bookish Nirvana! 😱 This is my first time at a really big Library Conference, and I had no idea that SO many publishers were going to be here, and that they were ALL going to be handing out multiple free books! Almost all of them are advanced reader copies! (ARCs) Most attendees accumulated a dozen or two. I went for the gold medal and have picked up 113 new free books! I'm honestly still in shock! 🤭📚💕 #bookhaul
Pure bliss is discovering bookstores! 💕📚
If you ever find yourself in Columbus Ohio, make sure you visit The Book Loft! It's a bookstore I discovered tonight and I'm excited to tell you that it had 32 rooms of books! 32 ROOMS FILLED WITH BOOKS! 😱😱😱 I seriously thought for a few minutes that I had died and gone to heaven! 🤭📚💕
I just arrived in Columbus, Ohio for a library conference! 🥳🎉🎉🎉 I will be here until Friday afternoon, do you think I brought enough books with me?! 🤭💕📚
Happy Easter to my Litsy family! 🩷💛🩷💛
I hope everyone is having a very nice day so far! I worked yesterday, so I'm grateful for the day off today to just be able to relax and read! Nick gave me a lovely basket filled with candy and most exciting of all - BOOKS! 🥰💕📚 I have been eyeing this series for a while, so I'm excited to start it! I think it's quite spicy, so YAY for that! 🤭
I hadn't heard anything about this book until a couple of days ago, and then I was desperate to start reading it immediately! So of course I ordered it, because I have no shelf control! 🤭💕📚 Apparently it's a thriller/mystery that has a lot of the same elements as that Slenderman incident a few years ago! 😱 I was weirdly obsessed with that case, so I am really excited to jump into this! Has anyone else heard of this one? Or started reading it?
Eeeeeeek! March Goldsboro book arrived and it's totally EPIC! 🤩 #goldsboro #goldsborobooks
There are about a hundred other books I SHOULD be reading today - but all I've wanted to do was finish my reread of this book! 🤭💕📚 #catsoflitsy #rumpel #littenkitten
Where did all this snow come from?! 😱❄️❄️❄️
Curled up with Jazz, catching up on a bit of reading before work today! 😻💕📚 #jupiterjazz #catsoflitsy
I really love being a librarian! 💕📚 Some days are better than others, obviously, but on days like this I am just filled with bookish joy! ☺️ The Throne of Glass series is super popular, and I'm always replacing the library copies with new ones, usually one at a time as they get worn out - so I just ordered a brand new complete set for the library! They arrived today, and I'm so excited to see them! Now they all match, and look so lovely! 😍
LOOK WHAT JUST ARRIVED! 😱 I'm really excited to read this! Her first book, Ace of Spades, was absolutely phenomenal! So I have really high hopes for this one! ☺️📚
Happy St Patty's Day! 💚☘️💚
This isn't really a holiday I typically celebrate, but I do like to use it as a time to think about some of my favorite Irish authors! James Joyce immediately comes to mind, as well as Tana French and Douglas Stuart. But this year I especially want to highlight Paul Murray, whose work I have completely fallen head over heels in love with over the past few months! 💕📚
Who are some of your favorite Irish authors?
My three day weekend started today! 🥳🎉🎉🎉 I've got tons of reading planned! And of course lots of tea and snacks! 🤭 It is sunny today, which is super nice! And even though it's a little bit chilly, reading at the park has been the perfect way to spend this Friday! 💕📚
I'm so excited that this book is finally here! 🥳🎉🎉🎉 I absolutely LOVED Empire of the Vampire, so I'm really looking forward to the next book! ❤️
I came across this book today at work, and it gave me an immediate burst of joy! 🥰 I remember reading and absolutely loving this book when I was in 3rd grade! I think I'm going to do a reread of it, especially with spring (hopefully) right around the corner! 💕📚
"Reading a book is quiet, clear, and organized. It waits until I am ready, pauses when I need a break, and is still happy to repeat. It never makes me feel worse and rarely makes me feel lonely. Reading gives me the world." ???
Some Monday bookish positivity for y'all!
Happy International Women's Day! 🩷🩷🩷
On this day (and many many others) I tend to think about my favorite female author ever, Virginia Woolf! 🥰 Her work has come to mean so much to me over the years, particularly her book, Mrs. Dalloway!
It was SO NICE of Simone St James to dedicate her new book to all of us! 🤭📚📚📚
Happy Pub Day to Tana French's new novel! 🥳🎉🎉🎉 Who else is excited to read this?! 💕📚
So, I started this book and I'm really enjoying it so far - for obvious reasons! ? And I came across this quote that really moved me!
"The most important reason I've remained a reader is because the act of reading makes me feel safe. The influx of information. The transport to other lives, other worlds."
I have never really heard that put into words before, but I felt it resonate deep within my heart! ?? Anyone else feel this way too?
Okay, this cover is AWESOME! 😱 This book is supposedly a sort of retelling of Labyrinth! I CAN'T WAIT TO READ IT!
Happy Friday, littens! 🩵📚🩵
I'm totally obsessed with this cover and page edges! 🥰 #goldsboro #goldsborobooks
The book of the month choices are officially up! 🥳🎉🎉🎉
I've officially ordered so many books for March's drop that they don't fit on the page! 🤭💕📚 I was so so excited by a lot of the add-ons this month! Particularly the new one by Simone St James, who I love! The book from the main selection that I chose was Annie Bot! And also I picked the Book of the Year winner too! What is everyone else getting this month? #botm
Okay, my February Illumicrate book arrived yesterday and I've completely fallen in love with this cover and page edges! 😱 I may need to start reading this sooner rather than later! 💕📚 #illumicrate
Happy Publication Day to these beauties! 😍
It was 70° today! And it's not even March yet! 😱 After work I read outside on my balcony for a little bit, for the first time this year! 🌿
I ended up finishing this book tonight, and I just have to say that Kristin Hannah has done it again! This was a phenomenal book, with lots of high and low emotions! And I learned so much about the Vietnam war! 💕📚
