So so much to partially identify with - just more proof that everyone's experience of failing gender is different.
I think Rae's journey resonates more with me personally, especially the retiring from gender and gender as narrative portions.
Ivan's journey to get and recover from top surgery told throughout is beautiful and emotional and funny, it feels like the backbone of the book. 1/?
Also warning for eating disorder/disordered eating.
Ivan's Facilites and Danger chapters are particularly impactful, as much for the writing as the subject matter. I feel like highlighting every page.I am so grateful for how vulnerable these two NB people chose to be in sharing their experiences. 2y
