Overall, it was a solid read although it took me two weeks to finish the last hundred pages or so. Part of it was due to its redundancy, which wasn‘t the author‘s fault. Gore and his team‘s efforts were really half-assed when it came to the Florida recount as he cared more about public perception than winning. The Bush team on the other hand fought for every vote it could get. I wonder if I‘ll be reading books about this election in 20 years.

Darthdad Hmmm I think I‘m interested. I remember staying up until we‘ll past midnight watching coverage. I‘m interested to learn the behind the scenes activities that I‘ve either forgotten or didn‘t know. This is a definite add to stack for me 3y

The ridiculously long political week reminded me a bit of 2000....but back then I had college to conveniently distract me from the majority of that 💩show! As I didn‘t catch all of the ins and outs, I thought I‘d revisit the debacle while drinking a tasty brew!
