A Cry In The Night | Mary Higgins Clark
post image

When I was Maya's age, I used to raid my step-grandmother's bookshelves when we went for our weekly Sunday visit. I spent many an afternoon lounging in their (water!) bed reading Mary Higgins Clark and Barbara Taylor Bradford, which seemed to be step-grandmother's favorite authors.

While I haven't read one of her books in years, she absolutely left an indelible mark upon my childhood, that I will never forget. 😞

BarbaraTheBibliophage Aww. I‘m sorry to hear this. Her books are a big part of my early semi-adult reading life too. (edited) 5y
alisiakae @BarbaraTheBibliophage I used to devour books like hers in the mystery/suspense genre. It was my brain candy. 😄 5y
