Panpan

I listened to the audio; the narrator had a very monotone voice that did not keep me interested at all. I did hear some of the secrets that were uncovered at the end... maybe they were meant to be exciting twists and turns, but I missed so much in between that it just wasn‘t all that interesting. It started interesting -- and even having now finished it – I do wonder what led Brandon to kill himself? I‘d like to find a summary with spoilers.

I may have picked this one up subconsciously since the temperatures were predicted to be over 110 for four days running. I'm glad I did!

Milchman writes beautifully. I loved her description of grief and how people grow into each other in a relationship.

The mystery however, left a little to be desired. There were elements to the story that were rather far-fetched. But the story works, and it was an enjoyable read.

I finished this a few days ago, but was having issues with my phone and couldn‘t post. This one was a #DollarTree dud. Didn‘t like the characters or the story. Poor portrayal of an autistic adult character.

But speaking of snow, I‘m loving all the posts from Littens in Texas and Louisiana! You‘re get more snowflakes that we are in the Detroit area!

Bailedbailed

Reading this book was like a chore...soon into it I wasn't excited to read anymore. I will never read anything by this author ever again.
