so-soI have mixed feelings. Sometimes I thought the author was on point & other times I was frustrated with his interpretation of well known research in the education world. This book is worth reading because it gets you thinking. Just be skeptical and don't agree with all of it. #teachersoflitsy
From the introduction alone, it *seems* that Tough will miss an important focus; race. While he, early on, mentions a young BW and poverty, from my first reading his analysis of wealth (lack thereof) applies to all children w/o investigation into how race impacts life for students of color.
