Pickpick

Oh, this book. How I adore it. So many sunbeams of truth, so many words of wisdom. George MacDonald, you are my hero.

Dimack17 I don't know how I - a self proclaimed lover of fantasy and fairytales- went so many years without reading anything by McDonald. My favorite part of his writing is his style and voice. It's just so good and now I see his influence everywhere. 8y
cottagelantern @Dimack17 Mine, too. And his discreet, subtle analogies. He is simply magnificent. ❤️ 8y

The Wise Woman and Other Stories | George MacDonald, Craig Yoe

"A long way from the palace, in a heart of a deep wood of pine-trees, lived a wise woman. In some countries she would have been called a witch; but that would have been a mistake, for she never did anything wicked, and had more power than any witch could have."
