In Spite of Myself: A Memoir | Christopher Plummer
1 post | 2 read | 4 to read
In this rollicking self-portrait from one of today's great actors, Plummer tells of his privileged Canadian upbringing, rich in Victorian gentility, and how he tore himself away from the ski slopes to break into the big, bad world of theater.

I'm sad to hear of the passing of Christopher Plummer. I had the great pleasure and privilege of seeing him as Lear at the Stratford Festival in 2002, and of course, our family has watched The Sound of Music innumerable times.

I'd read his memoirs a few years ago. They were a bit rambling but full of charming and funny anecdotes about his experiences in theatre and film. He will be missed!
