pickWhile I don't love this one as much as the original story, it's still a fun follow-up, and I am always here for more illustrations by Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone!! This one has more of a fantasy feel to it - the first book was, in its own way, possible. But this one delves more into a bit of fantasy as everyone falls into a deep sleep for a day besides the dogs, who then must decide whether to stay on earth with their humans or follow ⬇️
As an added bonus, when my dog was a puppy she nommed on this one, giving it a legitimately dog-eared status & adding some authenticity to the overall dogginess of the tale 😂 4y
