I would rank this in the top 20, maybe top 10, of Pratchett's books. He really hit the nail on the head with this one. Given the state of Hollywood, I think it is even more relevant today than when it was written. Got to say, Pratchett's wit shines in this one.

There was so much tension in this book. These characters just broke my heart. I ugly cried in parts. Great writing and character development. 5⭐️ If you like age gap romances with lots of angst, this is your kind of book.

Apologies for being behind. With this post, I am just about caught up. A lot happens in these closing chapters. Butch has made it through the transition. Phury and Z make more of his size. They comment that in order to be a brother your mother must be a Chosen. Butch is reveling in his new body and he finally gets to hunt lessers. Rhage witnesses Butch inhale a lesser and he is freaked out. Van Dean watches all this go down and reports back...
Hope everyone has been able to secure a copy of Lover Unbound our October book for the #BDBBuddyRead This is book 5 in the series and tells the story of Vishous and Jane. so-soI have mixed feelings about this book. While the story is very well written, it is very taboo. I liked the characters and felt for them. I can't condone their actions. I can't say much else without getting into spoilers. Just know there are lots of triggers so read the warnings. 3⭐️

1. Family is all safe.
2. Friends are all accounted for and safe.
3. My son's friend was vacationing at Chimney Rock. The house they rented was swept away in the flooding. They got out in time and were later air lifted to safety.
4. Horses came through Helene safely.
5. Talked to my grandson. He is settling in at school. Loves the soccer (aka football) program.
So much to be joyful about this week!
pickThis book is a spinoff of the author's Pucked series. Loved the story from the opening pages. It had just enough tension to draw the reader in and the right amount of steam. If you liked any of the Pucked books, put this on your TBR list. 4.5 ⭐️

pickThis is a dark romance series. Enjoyed it and even found myself trying to give the characters advise. But it ended on a cliffhanger! I will definitely read the next book. 4⭐️ Note the trigger warnings if you are sensitive to those things.

I thought the book was lackluster. It was way too slow for my tastes. The first half felt more of a data bumb. The ending was alright but very rushed. I think it could have been flashed out more. After reading the entire book, I thought, given Bray's past she was the wrong person for the job. As for the crew's feelings
