#20in4 #FabulousFebruary @Andrew65

The dual readathons hosted by @Andrew65 start today. This year I am not making any goals for readathons. I find I am reading more with less pressure. I am starting this readathon with the above two books. Not sure what will be after that. I am going to fly by the seat of my pants.

Happy Reading everyone! 💜📖📚

Kerrbearlib That's awesome that you're reading more with less pressure. Do what works best for you! Also, those looks like good books! (edited) 2d

A well written story that I found inspiring. Both characters are either hearing impaired or deaf. The trauma and tragedy they both endured was heart-rending. In the author notes I learned that she is also hearing impaired and that explained how she was able to write such beautiful and real to life characters. There are triggers in this book, so be aware if you are sensitive to such things. 4.5 ⭐️#LitsyLove #LitsyLoveReads @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

This was a DNF at 40%. I didn't care about either of the main characters; so I didn't care about the story either. A disappointment because I loved the prior book in the series Welcome to the Dark Side.

Happy Tuesday! Today's questions are inspired by several of my friends that are currently in the process of moving. It got me to thinking which is always a dangerous thing. Have a fabulous day! My answers:

marleed Haha! I read this in late 2007 in a critical juncture in my life. Parts of this book were a life raft. I haven‘t read it since mostly because I want to keep my memories of this book‘s value to me as they are. But so many readers just can‘t with this one. I really do wonder what I‘d think now in this life of mine I‘ve since crafted which is filled with almost nonexistent daily drama. 5d
Christy2318 I read this around the time it came out and it was one of those right book right time situations for me. I‘d probably bail if I read now. 4d

Nominates are now open for the March #LitsySciFiBookClub #LSFBC

Please remember it is one choice per person and keep your nomination to the Sci-Fi/Space Opera genre. Looking forward to what March will bring.

@Larkken @Deblovestoread @bnp @Johanna414 @BookmarkTavern @julesG @sebrittainclark @BookBelle84 @Readergrrl @CSeydel @Roary47

julesG From my #AuldLangSpine list - a collection of short stories: Tower is a series of interconnected stories set in Beanstalk, a 674-story skyscraper and sovereign nation. Each story deals with how citizens living in the hypermodern high-rise deal with various influences of power in their lives: a group of researchers have to tell their boss that a major powerbroker is a dog, a woman uses the power of the internet to rescue a downed fighter pilot... 6d

Ruthiella I don‘t have any nominations. I will vote from everyone else‘s suggestions! 😃 6d
Bookwomble I'll nominate Walter Tevis's The Man Who Fell to Earth 👽 6d
CatLass007 Please keep me on the tag list. I‘ve had The Three-Body Problem in my library for a couple of years and I‘d like to nominate it. 6d
RamsFan1963 @TheSpineView I skipped reading The Ferryman because I was already reading Dhalgren for #ClassicLSFBC, and I didn't think I could handle 2 chunksters. I do want to stay on the list, and I nominate 6d
Lizpixie I nominate this one. It‘s more Speculative Fiction than pure SF but I‘ve just bought a copy and am dying for an excuse to pick it up! If it‘s too out of genre, let me know and I‘ll choose another. 6d
TheSpineView @RamsFan1963 I get too many chunkters. Feel free to jump in and out as I want this group to remain casual. 6d
CatLass007 @Lizpixie What is the difference between Speculative Fiction and Science Fiction? 6d
Larkken Off topic - but was ferryman for Jan and feb? If not I can‘t recall the feb read 🤦🏻‍♀️ on topic, let me look if there‘s anything recent I‘m dying to read … 5d
Larkken I have a similar nom as @Lizpixie -let me know if not future-looking enough! 5d
TheSpineView @Larkken Yes, The Ferryman covered two months due to size. 5d
Lizpixie @CatLass007 Speculative Fiction means it‘s set in the future with speculative technology but not necessarily in space. Usually with a fantasy type element. (edited) 5d
CatLass007 @Lizpixie Science Fiction doesn‘t always take place in space. The book Logan‘s Run takes place on a possible future Earth. And the same is true of most YA Dystopian novels. And wouldn‘t a book that mixes technology and magic just be science fantasy? Or are science fiction and science fantasy just sub-genres of speculative fiction? God, I‘m old! I remember when… 5d
BookwormAHN I would like to stay on the list. I like @Bookwomble book choice. Also except for Star Wars books, I don't read much sci-fi so I typically rely on y'all book picks. 5d
Karisimo Please keep me on! I‘d like to nominate 4d
