pickThis is a fantastic HF book by David A. Adler. It tells the story of a young boy and his father struggling to make ends meat during the Great Depression. The young boy has to sell newspapers when he realizes that his father is unemployed. The son won‘t tell his father about the newspaper job so the father doesn‘t know that his son is helping out. The two grow and realize a lot about each other and a certain baseball player may make an appearance.
