This took me awhile to read, for some reason my mind just kept wandering, even though it was a good read

I don't read poetry often. But something about this called to me and so I picked it up. It's emotionally harder to read than I expected. But good. #40-2024

What a fun story! I love everything about Nora - her quirks, witty quips, her fun style and her independence. I liked how vulnerable Derek allowed himself to be. I really loved that there wasn‘t some big, stupid fight that forced them to realize their love for each other. I hate when rom-com books invent a silly fight, forcing lovebirds to reckoning. Free translation: Dark is the Night
This story is two time line: in the present 2020, Sandra, a famous singer in a band, wants to take sometime for herself after her divorce with Olivia. Her manger found her a place in the peninsule coast. She goes by incognito, to this hotel called Hotel Paris. There, Sandra feels strange sensations, eerie atmosphere and hears a song. She decides to follow the song, to see where it comes from⬇️

Gissy She will found that there is a mystery attached to the hotel, the song and the village. There is also some tension in the village due to the presence of these wolves. During this process to explore the hotel, where the song comes from and her visits to the village, she will meet two journalist and a friend came to visit her. Then this friend disappeared. Everything is connected. During those actions we go back and forth to the 1920s. ⬇️ 9mo

Gissy (Cont.) In those parts during the 1920‘s we will know Candela and her secret. What happened to her? Her relation with the hotel, the village, the song and why all their is connected with Sandra. This is a paranormal/mystery with a touch of thriller. It is a long novel (600 pages) so many things happen. Let‘s say that is not a great novel because there were part of this paranormal element that I found absurd, but kept my attention.⬇️ 9mo

Gissy I liked more those past parts than the present; and there were characters in the present time that I enjoyed more than the main character🤷🏽‍♀️If you see the cover, you will see a clue.

First time I read a novel by this author. 3.5/3.8⭐️

I started this book just before I took a new position with a new company, so it was really just more of a validation that I had done things the right way than any kind of instruction manual for me. It was still interesting. And validating. #40-2023

So Faith‘s new man, Aiden, just mentioned that he never did cocaine because of what happened to Regina Morrow in Sweet Valley High, which is the SAME reason I‘ve never done the devil‘s dandruff! Also, I was on the Reading Team in high school, not really the cocaine crowd. I‘ve never even had the opportunity to say no, but I would have! RIP Regina!

MidnightBookGirl Just for the curious it was #40. I‘m still not over it as she was one of my favorite SVH characters and made Bruce not be a total dick for a book or two. 1y
CBee OMG!!! ME TOO 😳😳😳 That‘s uncanny. And that‘s probably my fave SVH book. 1y
CBee The devils dandruff 😂😂 1y
MidnightBookGirl @CBee so I found several other people online who were also scared straight by Regina Morrow‘s cocaine death. We aren‘t alone! 1y
CBee @MidnightBookGirl and I mean, I totally had friends who did coke, but I ALWAYS thought of Regina and never did. She definitely got the message across for me! 1y

I‘ve read many historical fiction novels, but none about the IRA. This was great writing and I kept wanting more. I don‘t understand how someone in the “witness protection program” can have contact with anyone from their former life, that part left me with a facepalm. Book #40 in 2023
