Zucked: Waking Up to the Facebook Catastrophe
Zucked: Waking Up to the Facebook Catastrophe | Roger McNamee

This is the dramatic story of how a noted tech venture capitalist, an early mentor to Mark Zuckerberg and investor in his company, woke up to the serious damage Facebook was doing to our society and set out to try to stop it.

10% in and this is beyond insufferable. Tell me you‘re a privileged white man without telling me you‘re a privileged white man. Face book is a catastrophe, but you still have stock in it (so you‘re still profiting off of the catastrophe). You wrote this book while J&J was swamped by lawsuits over harm done, but you cite them as how this catastrophe should be handled.

GingerAntics I‘m sorry, he‘s just as back as Zuckerberg, especially since he was so easily convinced (no one even asked him) to drop his op-ed. This is not the man to write this book. This is more of his memoir of privilege than anything. Tell me more about, how as a white privileged male, you didn‘t like not being listened to, while still profiting off of what you saw as an issue. 🙄 Tell me more about the BILLIONS you‘ve earned. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 4w

This isn‘t starting well. You see this catastrophe at Facebook, but you STILL have stock in Facebook. 🙄 So I guess it‘s not so bad to you after all.
