bailed
Audrey Carlan excels at creating vivid characters you can feel for. I loved Genevieve, her siblings, her coworkers, and the wider community. They kept me reading longer than I otherwise would‘ve.
Trent‘s the problem here. He simultaneously thinks all women are harlots who want to use him and it‘s a man‘s duty to look after his womenfolk. Carlan doesn‘t balance this well or leave much hope Trent might become less gross. It ruined the book for me.
