To recover from reading about global imperialism, I've turned to music, & these two albums I bought today. Bit of a risk buying unheard two compilations of reggae artists covering songs by Bob Dylan & The Beatles.
The Dylan one is really good, thankfully, & is fairly cohesive as they were specifically recorded for the album. Just starting on the Beatles one, & this is a collection of tracks recorded independently, so🤞🏻

lil1inblue Cool! I'll have to investigate. 2mo
Bookwomble @lil1inblue The Beatles one is more patchy so far. I think the Dylan is very good, but happy to have both in the collection, even if as curiosities 😊 2mo
Bookwomble @lil1inblue I've listened to all of The Beatles cover album now, and while it isn't as consistently good as the Dylan one, it does have this amazing version of "Don't Let Me Down" recorded by Marcia Griffiths in 1969 ❤️ It was worth getting the album for this one track ? https://youtu.be/dtpDmZpjsJE?si=pfKfR2YzR21GgEoh 2mo

TieDyeDude That's fun! I remember listening to Dread Zeppelin a lot on our local rock station growing up; they are a reggae Led Zeppelin cover band with a lead singer who is an Elvis impersonator. 2mo
TrishB I have a full album of just covers of YNWA! When you want to play it 20 times… 2mo
Bookwomble @TieDyeDude I've heard of them, but not listened to them. I'll have to give them a try 😊 2mo
Bookwomble @TrishB I hope your neighbours don't support the Toffees! 😄 2mo
