Not my favourite book sadly as I though it dragged on a bit

Pickpick

Cleverly written and heartwarming, this is told via glimpses into people‘s lives. The observations were spot on. The cafe sounded fantastic - I‘d love to drop in and treat myself to a slice of cake and a café latte whilst discreetly tuning into the assorted conversations around me, the ‘ships that pass in the night‘. It‘s all very realistic.

An absorbing and hugely enjoyable story. If you like people watching, you‘ll love The 24 Hour Cafe!

ljuliel This sounds good. Great review. Can you tell me if it‘s a pre- release or are you from somewhere besides the US ? The only one any of our libraries has in by this author is (edited) 5y
ljuliel And this is weird. They have it as the above title, plus Mornings With Rosemary. Both the same book. 🤔 5y
VanessaCW I‘m from the UK. Mine was an ARC via Netgalley. It was published on 23 Jan in the UK. I can‘t see a publishing date for the US at the moment - it‘s sometimes a little later on, I think. There‘s nobody called Rosemary in it so I think that title is a mistake. (I haven‘t read The Lido but it‘s supposed to be good.). Hope you get hold of a copy - the Book Depository ships worldwide free of charge, I believe. 5y
