Police officer Alexander Blix and celebrity blogger Emma Ramm join forces to track down a serial killer with a thirst for attention and high-profile murders, in the first episode of a gripping new Nordic Noir series... Oslo, 2018. Former long-distance runner Sonja Nordstrm never shows at the launch of her controversial autobiography, Always Number One. When celebrity blogger Emma Ramm visits Nordstrms home later that day, she finds the door unlocked and signs of a struggle inside. A bib with the number one has been pinned to the TV. Police officer Alexander Blix is appointed to head up the missing-persons investigation, but he still bears the emotional scars of a hostage situation nineteen years earlier, when he killed the father of a five-year-old girl. Traces of Nordstrm soon show up at different locations, but the appearance of the clues appear to be carefully calculated ... evidence of a bigger picture that hes just not seeing... Blix and Ramm soon join forces, determined to find and stop a merciless killer with a flare for the dramatic, and thirst for attention. Trouble is, hes just got his first taste of it...

My current read! I‘ve seen a lot of folks into Nordic Noir showing this one off in the last few months and I‘m finally reading it myself—and loving it! A detective and a blogger investigate a number of celebrity murders in this first in a new series.

A first in a new series featuring detective Alexander Blix and reporter Emma Ramm. Absolutely loved the characters and how fast paced it was. Looking forward to book 2 once it's translated into English! 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫

an incredible, gripping Nordic Noir thriller, with great likeable characters in Blix and Ramm. Full of emotion, fear and nail biting suspense in a race against time to catch a serial killer before he can complete his plan. I‘m already waiting for the next in the series. Brilliantly dark and utterly compelling.

Day 3 and Mr. Invader is still here... I guess I should starting thinking about giving him a real name as he definitely seems to have adopted me? 🙈😂 Looking forward to another dose of Death Deserved as it's definitely living up to expectations so far. 🤗

Tamra 😻 Cats have a way of doing that. 4y
yvo_about_books @Tamra I'm still worried he might have owners looking for him somewhere, although so far nobody has reported him missing... 🤷‍♀️ 4y
Tamra @yvo_about_books 😐 Have you checked if he‘s microchipped? Does he want out? If not, he must not be missing anything elsewhere. Looks like he knows which side of the bread his butter is on! 4y
yvo_about_books @Tamra sadly they don't do microchipping down here and he doesn't have a collar... He's been free to leave as the garden has easy access to the neighbors, but he seems to be more than comfortable with us these last few days. I give it until next week and then I guess I'll just consider him our newest member of the family. 🤷‍♀️ 4y
Tamra @yvo_about_books he does look quite comfy. 😊 4y

I'm going in! 😍 And yes, this is Delilah Bard watching Mr. Invader (aka the cat that decided to adopt me yesterday) VERY closely... She absolutely hates him. 🙈😂

LauraJ I bet they‘ll be friends after a week. 4y
yvo_about_books @LauraJ Fingers crossed! He's actually quite mellow and friendly, so I hope they will accept him soon... 🙈 4y
