Morning reads on a Saturday when it's raining . This was a cute book , but It's supposed to be Middle grades. The main characters act more as high schoolers. Always wish that the characters would act for their ages in some graphic novels based for middle.

Pickpick

This was a blast to read and get to know Dinah (at least a little before I go see Birds of Prey) Great mother-daughter coming of age story. This is my kinda book - “for the woman or girl who has ever been told that she‘s to loud”; that is me! Wish the book went more into that volume, then the training of her voice really showed through. The diverse characters were fun to see-even the hint at Green Arrow.

Interesting that Dinahs mom was Black Canary first. That her genetic gene passed down the canary cry to Dinah.

Oh yeah, Kat - best way to test if Dinah has a superpower.

This is so good. This was a nice stop and think sort of moment. So many people assume it‘s so easy to cheerlead. It‘s not my cup of tea, but I know it‘s hard to do some of things these ladies/guys can do.
