Kobayashi Issa (1763-1828) was a brilliant master of Japanese haiku. This instructional book offers six lessons on how to write haiku based on examples from Issa and from twenty-first century poets who are following his creative path.

My Valentine‘s gifts this year were cheese, salami, chocolates, and a Kindle Paperwhite. 😆 (This is a pretty major haul for me, for context...) E-ink is stranger and more wonderful than anticipated. 😁

Happy Valentine‘s Day, Littens! 💕

Crazeedi I love my paperwhite, but yours looks like a newer one which is so nice! 4y
Sunraven @Crazeedi It is indeed the newer one! It‘s my first dedicated e-reader so I have no basis for direct comparison, but I‘m sort of obsessed with it. 😆 4y
Crazeedi @Sunraven you will love it, I use mine a lot now, never used to!! 4y

Sunraven @Crazeedi I just wish I could read even more of my books on it now, haha! And I waffle about what kind of case to get. I can‘t leave it totally naked, but it‘s so light, and I don‘t want to ruin that. 🤔 4y
Crazeedi @Sunraven my case is very slim, keeps it from getting messed up 4y
Sunraven @Crazeedi Which kind do you have? I‘ve been eyeing the selection on Amazon and wondering how much they all really weigh, haha. 4y
Crazeedi @Sunraven just one got on Amazon for 10, it really doesnt add a lot of bulk 4y
Sunraven @Crazeedi I‘ll have to give in one of these days and just get one to try, for sure! 4y
Crazeedi @Sunraven if you dont spend too much ot wont be bad if you dont like it! 4y
Sunraven @Crazeedi Right? Someday a case will pop up in my pictures and you‘ll know I did the thing, haha. 4y
Crazeedi @Sunraven I'll be watching! Tag me if you do!! 4y
Sunraven @Crazeedi Alrighty then, I will! 👍✨ 4y

“In the art of haiku, that which is unspoken often speaks the loudest.”

I didn‘t realize you could make quote graphics right from the Kindle app until last night ... How cool is that?
