Very happy with my scores from the book swap on my walk home from pole dance rehearsal for the showcase last night. We also finished the dance so now we have 5 weeks to perfect it and get ready to shake my arse in a small amount of fabric in front of an audience. Nothing I haven‘t done before or won‘t do again. Seriously though it‘s a lot of fun and you should try it too. Ha!

Pickpick

I've only recently discovered Joy Dettman but her books are a guilty pleasure, like a good soap.

This is the second in the Woody Creek series and continues the story of Jenny Morrison, picking up when she returns to Woody Creek.

I really enjoyed this installment and was really invested in the characters. So much so that I was really angry with the author at one point in the book.

Using this for the Set in Victoria prompt #AutumnBookBinge.

Pickpick

This was a slightly trashy, scandal ridden yet enthralling Australian drama set in the pre and post World War Two era. It's nothing earth shattering but pure entertainment and perfect for VERY early morning commutes. I should also note it's the second on a series and one definitely to read in order.

Rissreadswithcats I read Henry‘s daughter by Joy Dettman not long ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. 7y
Joanne1 @Rissreads I'll add that to my list they're nice enjoyable reads for between some of the heavier books o tend to read. 7y

It's been a long time since I read a Joy Dettman. I'm wondering why it took me so long to get back to her. Thoroughly enjoying this audio.
