I used this one for the Beastly Titles prompt on my #AutumnBookBinge. In the beginning I felt that this was a bit too far fetched for me, but about a third of the way in I embraced the idea.

An interesting and enjoyable read that I'm glad I persisted with.

I've only recently discovered Joy Dettman but her books are a guilty pleasure, like a good soap.

This is the second in the Woody Creek series and continues the story of Jenny Morrison, picking up when she returns to Woody Creek.

I really enjoyed this installment and was really invested in the characters. So much so that I was really angry with the author at one point in the book.

Circe the daughter of Helios, the Sun, is exiled to a deserted island after her dabblings into witchcraft land her in trouble with Zeus.

I didn't know Circe's story before I read this, so I don't know how true to the oringinal legends it is. It was well told and a very interesting story. Definitely going to read Madeline Millar again.
