Pickpick

A prequel to a new-to-me police procedural/thriller series set around Newcastle.

The characters were great! The storyline was at the top end of gruesome I‘m prepared to read, but I wanted to keep reading. And then the end happened which was a bit odd. Obviously a set-up for the real start of the series. But odd all the same. Really not sure if I‘ll continue the series.

Listened to the Bolinda/Jonathan Keeble version, which was excellent.

I feel like I haven‘t read anything remotely plot-driven in ages (flicking back through my recent reads, I‘m not actually sure when I last read anything with a plot at all!) so starting this morning with a busy Saturday-morning police chase around and above Newcastle Quayside. Plus entertaining thoughts of moving to the North-East (again).

Mehso-so

I‘m sooo late to the DCI Ryan party. Started with the prequel. It was ok. Should I continue with the series?
