This series is quite interesting. It took me awhile to get through it because it requires you to focus on understanding on the past and present time of the main character, Spencer Dales, and the many factors that influence him to take certain actions against the magical beings that rule everyone within this magical society. It seems like a mix of Harry Potter in a dystopian society where humans and magicans are controlled by all-powerful entities.
