Wow! I loved this book! I get all the hype now. Ypu could not have done the characters any better if you tried. By page two, I was totally invested. Excellent world building and a real page turner. And the end was perfect!! It did remind me a bit of The Schoolmance just better written. Excited for book two, just have to wait until November. Thank God the wait is short!

Honestly I went in thinking it wouldn‘t live up to the hype. I‘d say this book deserved it! I immediately went to preorder the second book. I usually hate series so that is a BIG DEAL and you should take it as high praise.

Also, the smut is better than in ACOTAR. No “Male smile” to be had here, thank GOD.

I was hesitant to read this one as it's everywhere with a lot of hype. Oh boy is it worth the hype! I could not put it down! Fantastic cast of characters and a great storyline. Love!

“A dragon without it‘s rider is a tragedy…a rider without its dragon is dead.” I cannot say enough about this book. My first 6 ⭐️ read in a very very long time. As someone who does not read fantasy, believe me. The hype is definitely worth it!

WORTH. THE. HYPE. I totally and completely devoured this book! Between the action and the first year at Basgiath with everything that entails…sooo freakin‘ good!!! And THAT ending!!! I kinda saw it coming but wasn‘t sure but dang bring on Book 2 on Nov. 7th!!

OK, so yes, I bought into the buzz around this one. And it was good...with only one big complaint (and it‘s a personal irritation). I‘m not going to go into a synopsis, but at 600+ pages, I‘ll just say there‘s A LOT going on here. To narrow it down to its core story, there‘s a war with the hero/heroine on opposite sides with some supernatural powers and of course, dragons. I liked the characters, both main and secondary (including the dragons). 🔻

Sooo I‘ve (almost) felt as if I‘m ‘cheating‘ on my original book BUT I‘m having a hard time with ‘One Woman‘s War‘ soooo…I dove head first in to Fourth Wing today. AAANNNNNDDDD I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! I‘m a slower reader typically but I‘m over 40% in (that‘s basically like a whole normal book for me!) and I started reading it at work *again 🤭*

Sometimes I just wish reading was my day job 😉

I just finished this book and it was a so-so type of book to me. I liked some of it and some I didn't like. I couldn't connect with the characters. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

When I read this book at the end of July, I was almost completely unaware of the hype (yep it is comfortable under this rock where I live 😝). I guess I payed no attention since it is fantasy, and not my typical genre. But man, did I love this book. Some say over-hyped, but anything ⬇️

I see the hype - it has the addictive quality of Twilight and Divergent. In fact, I saw a LOT of similarities to Divergent; of course, under any entirely different premise of a fantasy world and dragon wings instead of factions. My favorite characters were actually side characters: Rhiannon and Liam. I also loved the dragons, because DRAGONS! I‘ll be interested to see where book 2 goes, and this time, I‘ll get the early edition since I preordered.

I liked this, but I didn‘t necessarily love it. Unpopular opinion here, but I found Violet to be annoying throughout most of the book. It was still a fun read though, and I‘ll continue on with the series because I truly do love the idea of Xaden and Violet being together. Also, I love me my dragons 🐉

Was Fourth Wing perfectly executed? Nope. Was it exactly what I needed at the time? Yep. It was a fun quick, read that I enjoyed based only on the vibes. But sometimes that‘s enough for me.It definitely has some plot holes and unanswered questions. And it‘s filled with tropes. Seriously almost all of them. So you might want to keep that in mind.

I normally don‘t buy into “hype” books, but after the hundredth recommendation I decided it was worth sampling a few chapters. A couple days later and I have devoured this story cover to cover. I cannot wait for the rest of the series to be released #fourthwing #hypebooks #bookreview #fantasy

Ok I get the hype now. At least for some of us. Set in an absolutely brutal bootcamp of a dragon riders school where even graduates aren't guaranteed survival. Considering why they become riders it makes sense. (Forced or volunteered.) Loved the world building and how the story unfolded. The ending got me. Some spice but not overly graphic. I can't wait to see what comes next in book 2. It looks like there will be 5 books in the series.

#readingbracket2023 #2023readingbracket I read soo many goodies this month but Fourth Wing is easily going to be my favorite of the year…at least until Iron Flame comes out on Nov!

This book was unbelievable easy to get into. That's not too uncommon thing with fantasy books. I also loved the main character, and overall characters were nicely fleshed out. Main character has a disability, would have loved to live peaceful life but because that wasn't possible, she really showed to everyone what she can do. I also liked slow-burn romance in this book.

There was a lot of action and intriguing plot.

I read a big chunk of Fourth Wing this weekend. I‘m really enjoying. And I‘ve enjoyed diving back into the romantasy genre. I think it‘s finally time for me to give House of Sky and Breath another chance. I think I‘ll pick it up after I finish up this one up.

It was really, really good! I do think it could have been about 100 pages shorter. I did LOVE the dragons 🐉 🖤 and I can‘t wait for there to be an adaptation! There was just enough spice 🌶️ !! I can just hear James Earl Jones as the voice of Tairn 🐉 I enjoyed reading this with @MicrobeMom ‘s book club on Fable!

This brought back warm memories of when I read the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey. Those books were a big part of my teens and twenties. Fourth Wing felt just as wonderful to me. Having a dragon who is bonded with you is such a wonderful dream.

This book was well written, and I was fully invested from the beginning. It ends on a big cliffhanger, and I am so looking forward to reading the next in the series. 5 stars from me!

Good book, main character got on my nerves some times but the action was pretty exciting.

My daughter basicly ordered me to buy this. This was my "proof I did it" photo. Now that I've read the synopsis and 1st bit I'm just hoping it doesn't re-awaken my bootcamp dreams. Once was plenty thank you very much.

I didn‘t love love this like so many others, but I did like it. The twist at the end (there‘s a book two you know there‘s going to be a twist) was not what I expected.

The hype is real! I love it when a book is so good that you can‘t help but stay up all night reading it. That was this for me. It felt similar to Divergent and Hunger Games but with dragons, which, was fine by me. I loved the FMC Violet and her journey to find herself and her strength. I‘m def team Xaden and cannot wait for the 2nd book Nov 7th! Super 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

It‘s been a long time since a fantasy book has gripped me like this one - snarky, smexy, suspenseful. Plus dragons. Glad to have found out that #2 is out in October…. #justforme

A War College where the students are trained to bond with a dragon….if they survive the first year. I heard it was good for people who enjoyed Divergent and the Hunger Games, so I gave it a try. It was true for me! Loved it! This is a complete book with a satisfying conclusion that can be read as a stand alone. However, It ends with a twist that makes me want to read further adventures. Book 2 will be released in November. Can‘t wait!

There‘s something incredibly exciting when everyone is talking about a book, especially when the hype is warranted! It‘s a rare and impressive thing to capture such a wide audience (it‘s currently sitting at a 4.67 rating on Goodreads with over 355,000 ratings)! This book worked for me on so many levels and it‘s just so darn compelling and entertaining. Like many others, I can‘t wait to completely devour the next book in November! 🐉
