Love it! Now I want to read all her "feel good" books! ?
A story of family, new beginnings, learning to live in the present. With all of Monroe‘s books, her interest in the environment shines through this novel. Every chapter starts with a sea turtle fact. There is a lot of information about how pollution - especially plastic - in the ocean hurts the turtles and other sea creatures. Overall it was predictable, characters still the same, the new characters really didn‘t bring anything to the story.
Liked this better than The Summer Guests but not as much as some of her earlier books and ones in this series. It seemed like there were too many issues thrown in. But it was still a nice summer read.
Enjoying a weekend getaway in Southern Pines and Pinehurst NC. Found a #LFL
Changed the picture to include the bookstore I stopped in!
https://www.bluestockingreviews.com/post/on-ocean-boulevard Love the characters, love the setting, love the story! Mary Alice Monroe has written another delightful addition to her immensely popular Beach House Series. Place this one on your night stand or in your beach bag, it‘s a perfectly charming and comfortable escape.

On Ocean Boulevard is part of a series but reads well as a stand alone. Set on The Isle of palms near Charleston South Carolina, this book is the story of coming home, new beginnings, new friendships, family, & love. A story of Hope. It's a perfect summer read! I loved reading &learning about the loggerhead turtles & I really enjoyed the environmental side notes in this story & the characters commitment to cleaning up the beaches/ocean.
