And that's my first #fourfoursin21 challenge prompt done for the year! This is a potted history of women's revolutionary fashion, with a strong USA focus. It fell a touch flat for me round the edges - I think I was expecting photographs and a bit more depth. But it was a bit of somewhat intersectional feminist fun.

Clare-Dragonfly A history of fashion without photographs does sound frustrating! 3y
Lauredhel @Clare-Dragonfly don't get me wrong, the art was nice enough! I think I just expected something different 3y

Short essay collection of iconic fashion moments and how fashion/hair choices can be subtle (or not!) statements of soft political power.

AkashaVampie Is that suppose to be Selena?... not Gomez 4y
Melismatic @AkashaVampie Yes...altho she‘s only mentioned in connection to Jennifer Lopez‘s film portrayal which is odd. 4y
AkashaVampie @Melismatic oh ok. I wasn't sure if it was her or Madonna. Haha. I remember in the movie that was the part when her dad flipped out becuz she went onstage in a bra. 4y
