Book 26 of 2021. Sooo good! This wasn‘t quite as heavy as Dear Martin or Dear Justyce (there was an element of romance), but it was a commentary on socioeconomic status and how it affects children and young adults. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is so honest about the struggles of a poor family... that's what made this book so intriguing for me. Rico's struggles to provide with her family and their sacrifices really hit hard. I admire how the author wrote about it! There was no big romance to talk about but a really good friendship which made it up to me. The ending was kinda predictable and kinda unpredictable... if you don't know what I mean you gotta read for yourself 😇
