The NHS is our single greatest achievement as a country. No matter who you are, no matter what your health needs are, and no matter how much money you have, the NHS is there for you. In Dear NHS, 100 inspirational people come together to share their stories of how the national health service has been there for them, and changed their lives in the process. By turns deeply moving, hilarious, hopeful and impassioned, these stories together become a love letter to the NHS and the 1.4 million people who go above and beyond the call of duty every single day - selflessly, generously, putting others before themselves, never more so than now. Tears of laughter, tears of joy and tears of sorrow were all wept while reading the beautifully written (apart from Jamie Oliver‘s questionable entry) anecdotes of the many contributors. Thank you to our wonderful, honourable NHS! 💙

LOVED this. Nearly all the contributions are really heartfelt (Jamie Oliver's stupid recipe aside) and range from the heartbreaking (Dawn French's account of her mother's death is very moving) to the hilarious (Bridget Christie's essay contains one of the funniest sentences I've ever read).

arlenefinnigan An impassioned love letter to the NHS, raising money for a great cause (yes it shouldn't have to rely on charity but you can support it AND campaign for the repeal of the 2012 Health and Social Care Act). 4y

Sigh. Yeah. From both personal and profession experience, the LCP was very good, and it's a crying shame there was an ill-informed media campaign to demonise it and abolish it.
