The family drama that turns into a chaotic cannibalistic bloodbath is a lot of fun. Jennings is so good at writing familial relationships that the surprise ending hits really hard. I do have a few concerns that the twist doesn‘t entirely work, but it‘s a great read either way.

I bought this last month since it was so well liked on bookstagram. I saved it for a read along that started today (Happy Vday Pals!) so I‘ve now unintentionally read 3 cannibalism books this week. 🤷‍♀️ oops!

Kenzie Jennings wrote one of my favorite short stories from Worst Laid Plans so I checked out if she had a book. She does. After having a mental breakdown after being over prescribed opiates, Ansley has been in a treatment facility for months. She‘s being checked out for a weekend to attend her sister‘s wedding. Between her dysfunctional family and the family of cannibals her sister is marrying into what could go wrong? I thought the 👇🏼
