#Riotgrams Day 1: My bookshelves are kind of boring, so I thought I'd take a #shelfie of one of my Halloween shelves. I've had Haunted Heartland since I was about 10 years old. My third-grade teacher read some of the stories to us at read-aloud time. I enjoyed them so much I saved up my money to buy the book for myself. Thumbing through it now, I'm not sure a third-grade teacher would read them to their class these days! 👻😱☠️

Was just discussing favorite scary books, as one does on Litsy, and it reminded me of these. My 3rd grade teacher read selections to us during October. 😱 I loved them so much, I saved up my money and bought these copies in 4th grade. (No skeleton prop, so IKEA figure standing in, or running away.)
