It took my library so very long to add this to the Overdrive collection after I suggested it to them that I have no recollection whatsoever as to why I wanted it. It's very basic. The best thing about reading it with my ears is that the author has a lovely, reassuring British accent.

Book ending:
"From taking a breath to taking a sabbatical, pause can be many things. And the good news is, even just a small pause every now and again can make a real and lasting difference."

"However, while there is a lot of room for manoeuvre here, it is also important to accept that, at some level, conscious or unconscious, pause is a matter of choice... If you think you are too busy, you are fooling yourself... Whatever your circumstances, there will be something you can do. You will have to work at it but if you really want to pause, you will find a way to do so. If you don't, you won't. It is totally up to you."

" A pause is an opening.
It acts as a portal to other options and choices, giving more dimension to your experience."

"Fast versus slow, and work versus life, are, in fact, bogus choices. In setting up one against the other, we miss the fact that there are other, less combative, possibilities. We ignore the value of variation and modulation. Which is where PAUSE comes into its own. Pause is part of work and life. It isn't fast or slow. It doesn't exist at a single point on the spectrum of speed, but all over it.
..., there is always the chance to pause "
