Sun and Spoon (Bound for Schools & Libraries)
Sun and Spoon (Bound for Schools & Libraries) | Kevin Henkes
1 post | 2 read | 1 to read
It's been only two months since Spoon Gilmore's grandmother died, but already he's worried that he'll forget her. He needs to own something special But Spoon's little sister, Joanie, won't give him time alone to think, even when they go to their grandfather's house. What happens there will stay with readers long after they finish Sun & Spoon. Kevin Henkes's innate understanding of childhood illuminates his work with a rare glow.

First book finished in 2021..

I joined a LOTR readalong so I've been mostly reading Fellowship of the Ring which has taken me some time. Because of that, the only book I have finished this month is a children's book. I usually read 4 books a month so I feel really behind now.

Anyway I first read Sun and Spoon when I was 12, right after my grandmother passed away. The book was a great comfort to me, and I still enjoy it.
