Loved this cute RF book as we follow the story of a girl dreaming of making friends. Norma No Friends has always dreamed of a friend and one day she climbs up the top of a very far away hill to find? Guess you‘ll have to read it to find out.

This would be a great option for SR. Not only are we building connections like in the story, but shared reading is a great way to build fluencies with gradual levels of support for practice and performance (5.3)UDL.

For our EL‘s I would use previews/reviews activities so students can understand the context and what happened in the story (13).

Mmurphy A great resource to complete your shared reading strategy would be through reading rockets. https://www.readingrockets.org/strategies/shared_reading

DrSpalding It looks like fantasy because of the images but I will believe you that it is realistic fiction. Shared reading is a good idea as long as all students have access to the text. Reading rockets is a high-quality resource and I like the idea of finding resources that support the teaching strategies you plan to implement with your future students. 3y
