I wish I had loved it, but I just couldn‘t!
I‘ll watch some of her readings though because she seems like someone who should be heard and not read!

Just misses being a Pick. I love that I could sense the intensity of the poet's emotions - her passion, fury and indignation. But, for me, the delivery was slightly lacking - the intensity became diffused as some pieces seemed to lack focus or a cohesive structure. That said, there are some stunning turns of phrase & some powerful themes & imagery. It just felt a little rushed & underdeveloped.
Starting this one today. Absolutely love this artwork 😍

#Ebony Stewart writes raw, heartfelt poetry. I was lucky enough to hear her read from this book at a slam poetry event.
