Littens, I‘m proud. Found no time to read and audiobook these last 3 weeks – and saw yesterday that this one will expire in 24 hours. And I made it. 380 pages are done.

During my Litsy-absence I was on staycation. My friend and I did a brilliant job tidying and cleaning up. 🧼✨ Then lazy, cosy days with my significant other. 🧡

Then came the flood. 🌊 😱 Me and my loved ones are fine. None of my belongings is ruined – but I had exhaustive days.

Lindy Sorry to hear about the hard times with the flooding; happy to hear you are safe. ❤️ 3y
Buechersuechtling @Lindy Thank you. It was scary to experience how fragile the achievements of modern life and “civilisation” are. I had water in the streets of my neighbourhood and slept in clothes and with packed bags because there was a chance we would be evacuated. And I tell you, this felt so much more awkward than I had expected. 3y
Lindy @Buechersuechtling I can only imagine the stress. Floods and fires in the Yukon and BC, where I‘ve been travelling to visit family, have displaced people here too. Fortunately for us, we aren‘t too close to those areas. 3y

Mehso-so

I am a bit indecisive. Sometimes really genre-typical, sometimes nicely different and almost believably authentic.

It‘s about Rahel who catches a complication leading to a coma. She survives only scarcely. Most part of the novel tells how she fights her way back to life. Her emotional rollercoaster is described spot on. The rest of the plot mostly is average.

A „So-So“ with a „Pick“-tendency.

It‘s a bit hard to translate but that‘s not really standing there⁉️ In a shower there are no “holders for the handicapped”, there are “handholds” for them, so that one can hold oneself. 😡
