Set in the 18th century, a tale of a boy growing into a man and the relationship with the elephant he keeps. It really is a tale of friendship and devotion during the Enlightenment in England. They go through several owners and placements, and the man‘s devotion to the elephant prevent him making choices for his personal happiness.
