Un coup de tonnerre
Un coup de tonnerre | Ray Bradbury
2 posts | 6 read | 4 to read

Another entry on Bibliofile's "best short stories of all time" list, it was, indeed, very good. I've only read a few of Bradbury's works but in all of them I find a weird mix of beautiful, almost lyrical, descriptive writing contrasted with rather stilted dialogue. A lot is packed into these few pages, including, apparently, the earliest explanation The Butterfly Effect. In my mind, the character Travis looked like Jeff Goldblum. ?

I read this in school once upon a time and I still remember it clear as day today. A story of time travel to hunt dinosaurs that are soon destined to perish and the unfortunate demise of a butterfly that would change the world. An incredible tale of chaos theory for the physics lovers. Amazing read!
