When I checked this book out of my local library, I didn't realize it was two books in one until I almost got finished with the first story. The first story: The Jailhouse Lawyer involved a lawyer who became a public defender in a small town. She soon realizes that there is evil in the town. The second story: Power of Attorney involves a lawyer that left her small town for a big city. She returns home because her ā¬‡ļø¸

MonicaLoves2Read her dad is suffering from alzheimer's.. She takes over his office and soon has a client her mom gave her card to.

I liked the fact that both books had strong female characters. Neither of them took crap from anyone. They stood for what was right even when it was hard. Two good legal thriller reads.
