Mehso-so

This book was just OK. I knew going in that it wasn't going to be a Pulitzer Prize winner. Still, there were some funny moments, but I could have done without the crude sexual humor.

"He opened two beer bottles. Pancetta had never seen such dexterous teeth."

LitStephanie What?! 2y
SRWCF @LitStephanie lol! This book is a spoof of The Bridges of Madison County popular in the 1990's. It's full of all sorts of dumb phrases like this. 😉 2y
LitStephanie @SRWCF oh that makes sense! Ha! 2y

This one is my next read. It's a spoof of The Bridges of Madison County that was popular in the 1990's. The main characters are Pancetta (which means “bacon“ in Italian) and Concave. Lololol! This should be funny! 😂

Ruthiella That book was such a phenomenon! I saw the film but I don‘t think I read it. In the ‘90s I read very little compared to now! 2y
SRWCF @Ruthiella I really loved the movie! I mean, who could go wrong with Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood as the main characters?! (edited) 2y
UwannaPublishme What fun! I remember the movie quite well. 2y
SRWCF @UwannaPublishme There have been some laugh out loud moments already! 🤣 2y
